Ava Risk Group Limited (ASX: AVA) (“Ava Risk Group” or “the Company”) today announced that its Detect Division, Future Fibre Technologies (FFT), has been appointed as a prequalified supplier to the Australian Government’s Border Protection Technologies Panel (BPTP), administered by the Department of Home Affairs.
The appointment, effective 1 July 2026, runs for an initial five-year term to 30 June 2031, with an option for a further five-year extension at the Government’s discretion.
The BPTP has been established by the Department of Home Affairs to support the operational capabilities of the Australian Border Force and to provide access to both existing and emerging technologies that strengthen Australia’s border security capabilities.
As a prequalified supplier on the panel, the Company is eligible to supply its Aura Ai-X and Aura Ai-XS fibre optic sensing platforms and associated services in support of Australian Government border protection requirements. FFT’s technologies are currently deployed to protect military facilities, airports, national borders and critical infrastructure assets in more than 50 countries worldwide.
The appointment further strengthens Ava Risk Group’s position within the Australian Government and defence sectors and recognises the Company’s long-standing expertise in delivering trusted perimeter intrusion detection technologies to some of the world’s most security-conscious government and critical infrastructure operators.
The appointment aligns with increasing government focus on sovereign capability and the protection of critical national infrastructure, including border facilities, ports, airports, communications infrastructure and other nationally significant assets.

The appointment represents a significant milestone in Ava Risk Group’s stated strategy to expand its presence within the Australian government, defence and critical infrastructure sectors. The Company believes the appointment further validates FFT’s sovereign sensing capabilities and strengthens its position to pursue future opportunities with Australian Government agencies.
Appointment to the BPTP does not guarantee any minimum level of work or revenue to the Company. Accordingly, the Company does not presently expect the appointment, of itself, to have a material impact on FY2027 financial performance. However, the appointment establishes FFT as an approved supplier within an important Australian Government procurement framework and may provide access to future procurement opportunities over the term of the panel.
