New contract updates

The FFT team has been busy securing new contracts in multiple verticals. Here’s a snapshot of some of the new opportunities:

  • Building on a long-term relationship with the Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) protecting operations including Vadodara, Bengaluru, and Jamnagar-Loni, FFT PIDS will be used to protect the new Kochi–Koottanad–Bangalore–Mangalore pipeline. Spanning 1,104km, the critical piece of infrastructure aims to connect South India to the national gas grid, providing natural gas to industries and consumers across the region.
  • Aura Ai-X has been selected to protect a residence in a Western Asian country. FFT’s latest generation intrusion detection technology will be installed to protect the property in both fence mounted and covert buried configuration.
  • Aura Ai-X has been installed to replace legacy Secure Fence systems. FFT technology has been successfully protecting this joint US-Australian facility for more than a decade.
  • Sydney Trains continues to roll-out Aura Ai-X across its network. The transport operator has installed FFT PIDS to protect a range of infrastructure include stabling yards and maintenance centres.
  • Working with Honeywell Middle East, FFT detection systems will be deployed to identify access, threats and risks to critical infrastructure across a major oil and gas field operated by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company.

ISC West 2025 recap

Our technology was again front and centre at ISC West in Las Vegas this year with our Detect, Access and Illuminate sales teams kept busy meeting with current partners, customers and potential prospects. Year on year, the event plays an important part in fostering new partnerships, exploring projects, and engaging with clients face to face about new products, potential upgrades and their changing security needs.

With over 25,000 security focused delegates in attendance, live demonstrations of FFT Aura Ai-X and discussions about its deep learning capabilities captured the imagination of visitors to the stand, while feedback received about BQT’s RCI YD30 Series and YG80 products reaffirmed their impact and relevance in today’s locking and access control market.

There was also interest in GJD’s range of detectors and illuminators, as well as its sponsorship of a networking function with new partner SourceIT. The relaxed atmosphere off the show floor was the perfect way to connect with potential new customers.

Post event, our team has been building on the momentum from ISC West, turning meetings, conversations and insights into actionable opportunities and projects.

Aura Ai-X live demo

Here’s a live client demo after a successful Aura Ai-X install at a site in North America. On the left, Jonathan, our Senior Service Engineer, walks, then digs near the perimeter. While on the right, a buried Aura Ai-X system picks it up instantly, labelling the signature in real time. With data that allows you to pinpoint exact disturbances, you can decrease nuisance alarms and response times for more efficient and effective security – just how it should be. Watch the live demo here.

DTECT Laser installed at Lords

The Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) has installed DTECT Laser units inside the wall line of Lord’s cricket ground to heighten perimeter security. With the laser curtain extending several metres above the top of the ground’s solid brick wall, any intrusion alerts are automatically relayed to the security control room for personnel to verify via CCTV. GJD is working with the MCC to explore additional detection and monitoring requirements including around pitch entrances (which can’t be gated for crowd safety reasons and ground staff access requirements) and extending the DTECT Laser system around the Tavern Stand to support its upcoming redevelopment.

YD30 locks securing DEWA

The YD30S locks from our access business has been selected to secure the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority’s (DEWA) new headquarters, Al-Sheraa. This landmark project is set to become the world’s tallest, largest, and smartest net-zero energy government building. The project is located in Al Jaddaf, Dubai and has a completion date of the end of 2025.

Aura Ai-X demonstrates why next-generation perimeter security matters

In a recent real-world incident, Aura Ai-X demonstrated exactly why next-generation perimeter security matters. The system detected an attempted fence breach within seconds, instantly identifying the precise location and enabling a rapid, targeted response from security personnel. This level of accuracy and speed simply isn’t possible with traditional systems – which often struggle with nuisance alarms triggered by wildlife, weather, or vibrations..Watch the video here.

Detect featured in UK’s Metro newspaper

After attending The Security Event in Birmingham, Metro newspaper journalist Josh Layton was reading GJD’s white paper about mitigating the threat of drones smuggling drugs, phones, weapons and other contraband into prisons. The result is a great interview with GJD’s Stephen Jordan about how the DTECT Laser has been installed at the North Yorkshire prison (and is currently being deploying it at a new US correctional facility) to create a ‘virtual curtain’ of up to 25 metres (82ft) to secure windows or courtyards. Protecting Dubai International Airport

Aura Ai-X was recently installed at Dubai International Airport as part of a system upgrade. To maximise intrusion detection while minimising false alarms, FFT’s R&D team customised the PIDS machine learning algorithm using data from its global system installation library to process the environmental noise typically associated with a busy international airport. The demonstration Aura Ai-X controller was then installed and rigorously tested – immediately delivering results that exceeded the client’s expectation. Multiple Aura Ai-X systems have now been installed to protect the perimeter of the airport and the thousands of passengers and employees who pass through the gates every day.

Mal Maginnis on Strawman.com
